Have you ever wondered what happens to our waste after it reaches its final destination? This course will explore what happens to our waste and recycling after it leaves our homes. One session will include a laboratory experiment! We will also discuss how chemistry is linked to sustainability.

Amanda Oldacre is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at SLU, where she teaches general and environmental chemistry. Her research focuses on cleaning up pollutants that can be found in our environment.
