In this class, you will be able to view many examples of completed work. You will also have the opportunity to complete a simple project using the basic “stem” embroidery stitch. This stitch can be used to sign, date and give provenance to a completed quilt project. It also can be used to write messages on a baby or wedding sampler, or on a gift, etc.
Debbie McEwen taught herself how to embroider when she was attending college and she has been doing embroidery work ever since. She has used the stem embroidery stitch to add messages to quilts, pillows, framed pieces, wall hangings, and other projects.
NEEDED SUPPLIES: 10" spring embroidery hoop, 1/4 yard inexpensive muslin, embroidery needle, skein of embroidery floss (bright or dark color is good), pencil, lined paper and roll of narrow masking tape.
NOTE: A list of needed supplies was sent with your registration confirmation. It is also posted above.
