This course is an exploration of Earth, and how its atmosphere, continents and oceans, together with the sun, create weather and climate. This will include explorations of how energy moves through the climate system, records of past climates and how climate may change in the future.

Aileen O’Donoghue is a frequent SOAR presenter and an active astronomical researcher who LOVES watching the sky. She holds physics degrees from New Mexico Tech, where she studied both astronomy and atmospheric physics. Aileen has been teaching physics at St. Lawrence University for over 25 years, and teaching a course on global climate at the university for the past 13 years.
