This course will include four connected presentations: Thomas Hickey of Potsdam in the Civil War; William Elderkin of Potsdam in the Civil War; The Leaky Hose: Black self-liberation in the Civil War; and The Arc of Racial Justice in the USA from the Civil War Until Today.
Jan Wojcik was educated at Boston College and Yale, and has taught at Purdue and Clarkson universities. He is a member of the Civil War Round Table of Saint Lawrence County, and has made over two dozen public presentations on the Civil War. He gave previous SOAR presentations on Astronomy and the Civil War.
