Course Updates

September 05, 2017 - As of the end of Friday (25th Aug) about 2/3 of our returning and new members have registered for classes. These classes are now closed: "AARP Smart Driver," "Adirondack Archaeology," "Adirondack Literature," "Cemetery Memorial Cleaning," "Dams of the Raquette River," "Drawing with Graphite," "Edgar Cayce Exercises," "How Immune Cells Work to Protect Us," "Lewis and Clark Expedition (repeat of spring course)," "Life on a Tilted Teacup Ride," "Mah Jongg," and "Ticks 2.0 New Findings (Group A),)" and "Waters of the Adirondacks."
October 30, 2017 - The Science of Human Voice Production NOTE: The first session of "The Science of Human Voice Production," has been canceled due to presenter's illness; Do come to the second session on 11/7 at 2:00 - 3:30 in Maxcy 104.
October 18, 2017 - Adirondack Archaeology The classroom for "Adirondack Archaeology" (11/3 and 11/10) has been changed from Maxcy 104 to Crane: Bishop Hall 123 (a larger classroom). This will allow all members on the waitlist to attend.
October 12, 2017 - Monsters, Menace, and Mystery: 1950's-60's Atlas/Marvel Comic Books The readings for 10/18/17 "Monsters, Menace, and Mystery..." have been posted on the course page.
October 07, 2017 - Ray Bradbury's "Dandelion Wine: Metaphors of Small Town America The website for "Ray Bradbury's "Dandelion Wine..." is now complete - view the links on the course page.
September 18, 2017 - Caring for the Caregiver NOTE: This class has been canceled at the request of the presenter.
September 19, 2017 - Creating Clean Air at Home Andrea Ferro added some new links and more info and recommendations on clean air monitoring devices.
August 23, 2017 - Registration is ongoing - send your registration form in soon! New members welcome - call the SOAR office and ask for a registration packet, or view the updated.pdf print files in the upper right corner - "DOCUMENTS," print and fill out the Registration and the Ambassador Forms (Meet-the-Chef is optional), add your $65 membership check (made out to: "PACES-235" and note in memo line: "SOAR dues," and mail them to SOAR, or drop them into the mailbox on the SOAR office door. (See bottom/right for office address and location info.)
