Coming from Potsdam: Follow HWY.11 through Canton. Stay to the right as you cross over the bridge (i.e. keep going straight ahead abandoning HWY.11 (on the left) for HWY.68 straight ahead. The entrance to SUNY Canton is about a half-mile down HWY 68 (heading towards Ogdensberg). Turn right at the stop light and enter the campus. Coming up from the south on HWY 11: once you get to Main street turn left (i.e. DON'T turn right to cross at the bridge when you reach the first stop light). SUNY Canton is then on the right (at the next stop light), in about a 1/2 mile.

NOTE BENE: TO AVOID GETTING A TICKET:  hang your SUNY Potsdam parking tag on your review mirror whenever you are on the SUNY Canton campus for a SOAR class. (If you do NOT have a parking pass...see the next NOTE BENE below!

NOTE:  Park in Lot #7, the first lot on the near French Hall (Admissions). To get to Payson 219, Walk up to Cook Hall, building #2, find your way to the back door to find an elevator. Take it to the top floor and exit to the open-air plaza. Cross the plaza and enter the door between Miller Campus Center and Payson Hall - you have arrived at Payson 219... look for a short few steps at that corner to the auditorium.

NOTE BENE - If you do NOT have a SUNY Canton parking pass (or there is no room in lot #7 to park there), continue on the left road - turn left at the sports complex (sports fields are visible just before) and drive all the way around to the back, and up a small hill to park in Lot #23, i.e. behind Roos House (also called "CARC" = Convocation, Athletic, and Recreation Center) and up by the sports fields. (LINK: to this location to view a map.) Walk around (or through) the sports complex, cross the road (you just drove on), and head towards the center of campus (i.e. where you see the tallest building on the hill ("MacArthur Hall" - building #15, the administration building). To the left of this building is "Wicks Hall" - building #16). Enter Wicks Hall at the ground level.  Walk straight through the ground corridor until you reach an elevator on the opposite side. Take the elevator up to the top level where you will find an exit to the open-air plaza on the top of the hill. Cross the plaza and to enter building #3, Payson Hall. Room 219 is large auditorium down a few steps on the left, just before you would enter attached Miller Campus Center #5 (the next building down).
