Let’s have some fun doing chemistry! SOAR participants will perform various experiments with safe chemicals. These will include polymers, hydrophobic sand and kinetic sand. Learn activities that you can use to “wow” your grandchildren!
Jim Barry is a retired chemistry teacher. He is a frequent SOAR presenter, as well as a member of the SOAR Board of Directors. He is also a co-chair of the Curriculum Committee, and his main task is to round up a wide assortment of SOAR classes for each semester. In spring 2006, he was named “SuperSOARer.”
NOTE: Do NOT wear your finest clothes to this class.
